Direct Lighting

"Direct light" refers to light that travels directly from a source to a surface without being scattered or diffused. It creates sharp shadows and highlights, emphasising texture and form. This type of light is often associated with strong sunlight or a focused artificial light source. In photography or cinematography, direct light can create dramatic effects, while in everyday life, it can provide strong illumination but may also cause glare or harsh shadows.
